B2B lead finder: which part of the process Lead Finder covers
A B2B process has five stages. This tool covers one of them thoroughly and none of the other four, which is worth knowing before buying.

What does Lead Finder do in a B2B process?
Lead Finder is a desktop B2B lead finder that covers sourcing for local business targets and deliberately nothing else. A full business-to-business process runs through five stages: defining the target, sourcing the companies that match, enriching with the attributes the source lacks, contacting, and tracking outcomes. This tool owns the second stage for one type of target, businesses identified by trade and geography, and produces a complete territory rather than a sample because grid sweeping passes the per-query result ceiling. It does not enrich, does not send anything, does not track outcomes, and holds no data about people. Those are real limitations rather than roadmap items, and for targets identified by headcount or job title it is the wrong category of product entirely.
The stage it covers
Sourcing for local targets means answering, completely, which businesses of a given type operate in a given area. That sounds simple and is the part most commonly done badly, because a single search returns roughly 120 results however many exist, so most lists are samples presented as markets.
Completeness is what the tool is for. A territory swept on a grid, merged and deduplicated on place ID, is the market rather than the first page of it, and everything downstream is capped by whether that step was done properly.
The four stages it does not cover
Enrichment happens elsewhere, usually from the websites in the export or a public register. Contact happens in a dialler, an inbox or a messaging tool. Tracking happens in a CRM. None of those are built in, and integrating them is your work.
That narrowness is deliberate. A tool attempting all five stages competes with specialised products at each, and the sourcing step is the one where the per-query ceiling creates a genuine technical problem worth solving on its own.
When it is the wrong tool
For targets defined by company size, revenue, funding, technology or job title, this holds none of that data and a contact database is correct. For extraction that must run unattended on a schedule or feed another system, a cloud API is correct.
And for a few dozen rows once, a free browser extension is sufficient and paying anything is unnecessary. Saying so costs a sale occasionally and saves the larger cost of a customer who bought the wrong shape of product.
