Google Maps business leads: which B2B offers the data supports
The same export is excellent for one proposition and useless for another. The deciding factor is whether your buyer is identifiable from a location.

Are Google Maps business leads suitable for B2B?
Lead Finder produces business leads that suit some B2B propositions extremely well and others not at all, and the test is simple enough to apply before building anything. If your buyer is identifiable by what their business does and where it is, Maps data is close to ideal, because category and location are exactly what it records reliably. A supplier of salon equipment, a commercial cleaning contractor seeking offices, or an agency selling local marketing all qualify. If your buyer is identifiable by company size, sector classification, technology in use, funding stage or job title, Maps records none of those, and no amount of extraction will surface them. That distinction, location-identifiable versus attribute-identifiable, decides whether this data source is the right one.
Propositions this data supports well
Anything sold to a category of local business is well served, because category and geography are the two fields Maps gets right. Equipment, consumables, local marketing services, insurance, software aimed at a specific trade, and anything with a territory-based sales structure all fit naturally.
Propositions where the visible state of the business is itself the qualification fit particularly well. Selling websites to businesses with no website, reputation services to those with low ratings, or listing management to unclaimed profiles turns a column in the export into the segmentation, which is both cheap and accurate.
Propositions it does not support
Anything requiring company size, revenue, headcount, funding or technology stack is unsupported, because none of it exists in the data model. Proxies such as review count and number of listings at an address are weak and vary by category enough to mislead.
Anything requiring a named individual in a role is equally unsupported. Maps holds no people, so approaches needing a specific title need a different source, and the phone number frequently reaches a location rather than the person who decides.
Where the two overlap
A common and effective pattern uses Maps to define the universe and a second source to enrich it. Maps establishes which businesses of a given type exist in a territory, completely and currently, which purchased databases often get wrong for small local businesses. The second source then adds the attributes Maps lacks for the subset worth pursuing.
That order matters. Starting from a database and filtering down tends to miss the small local businesses that never appear in it, while starting from Maps and enriching upward keeps the coverage advantage that makes the source worth using at all.
